{4th paragraph] A dozen or so employees doesnt seem to indicate that the ban will have a terribly large impact on the company. Microsoft, for example, says it has identified 76 employees that would be affected by the order. But Kalanick goes on to acknowledge that thousands of drivers in Ubers unofficial workforce come from the listed countries.

Maybe Uber should shut up and pay their drivers for their services. Globalist creeps!
Kalamazoo Uber driver picked up fares between killings, source says
"The ride-sharing company confirmed to CNN that Dalton, 45, was an Uber driver and said he had passed a background check."
I vividly remember Kalanick’s forceful statements regarding the Obama administration’s deliberate exclusion of Middle Eastern Christian refugees.
It certainly wasn’t who we were to exclude the victims of genocide while encouraging the savages responsible for that genocide to invade our country. Kalanick was at the forefront of those lambasting the last administration for deliberately keeping people out based on their religion.
Perhaps I’m misremembering?...
He is laughing his ass off. There are taxi strikes breaking out all over. The cops aren’t going to care about Uber bans when the airports are over run with protestors.
As a former Uber driver I watched as it became harder and harder to make $100 a day in 7 or 8 hours. The biggest problem was waiting between customers. One, two hour waits in downtown, at the college campus, at the airport at peak hours. The frustration of being available for work but no business being available, watching that expense ticker in your mind going tick tick tick ding while the income counter stays at zero, I thought to myself this is no way to make living. So I got on CraigsList to look for other transportation jobs. What I discovered was amazing: four advertisements every day for “URGENT DRIVERS NEEDED” posted by Uber. My landlord is an Uber driver. His cousin is an Uber driver. etc. The market is flooded with an oversupply. Maybe it will be worth going back if immigration enforcement lowers the supply of service. La la!
Well, people are Uber drivers because the economy stinks! No one in their right mind wants to drive their own car, receive no tips, have their car destroyed by nasty passengers while driving to bad neighborhoods in the middle of the night because it’s their choice of career.
Let’s just hope things can improve and Uber will either reform or die.
agreed
