On Jan. 17, a letter from DHS Inspector General John Roth to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp confirmed the procedure.
In the letter, Roth wrote that he intends to investigate why the agency broke protocol preceding 10 unconstitutional attacks on the system.

The letter confirmed the process of investigating a series of ten alleged scanning events of the Georgia Secretary of States network that may have originated from DHS-affiliated IP addresses. However, these attacks were all prevented by a firewall in Georgias digital system.
Former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson has argued with Kemp over federal governmental control of election systems as critical infrastructure.
Kemp called it political power play to federalize elections.
Two weeks before leaving office, Johnson sparked massive controversy on Jan. 6 after unilaterally issuing the designation. This angered both state level Democrats and Republicans.
The controversy comes about in an election rife with hysteria over voter fraud, particularly abundant in Hilary Clintons campaign.
General Roths investigation could very well expose Johnson or his accomplices purposely exploiting a federal cyber security to attack the Georgia election system to put pressure on the state official in the event of a policy dispute. This could bring about divisive scandal for Johnson, as well as the former administration.
Kemp noted that he found the dates concerning. Well, thats a pretty easy dot to connect, he said. Certainly from a political perspective it makes a lot of sense to ask that question.
Within the federal code, Title 18 decrees it a federal crime to having knowingly accessed a computer without authorization as well as damaging or hindering the integrity or availability of data, a program, a system, or information. Being found guilty of any offense could warrant 20 years in prison.
At no time has my office agreed to or permitted DHS to conduct penetration testing or security scans of our network, Kemp said.
Obviously, better than the DNC's.
So, the Black Russians after all.
Curious...could these hackers be the same people in charge of the DNC servers, exhibiting the same level of inneptitude???
No one has asked.... what were they looking for?
Seeing Jeh Johnson in the klink for 20 years would be the cherry on the top of what is turning out to be an awesome year.
Vote tabulator?
Johnson is a snake. So much America hating in Odunga’s admin. Trump really needs to let an Investigation or two unwind. Someone needs to be made an example of BIGLEY!
One week and already destroying the past 8 years.
Well, it was after the fact, and the tabulation coders are two steps removed from the DNC for plausible deniability purposes. I believe the tabulation fraud code never got loaded in swing states due to O’Keefe’s catching those coders, so what was there for DHS to discover?
Jeh Johnson/DHS was caught busing in illegal Somalis from a town in Mexico.
Jeh Johson will be pulling out his race card shortly.
You know, Georgia was a part of the confederacy.
Thankfully our guys were out front of the voter fraud enough to squeek out the win.
Threat of an investigation has struck a nerve with some of the players.
Saw tonite that naacp is protesting the probe.
They exploited/attacked the Georgia Election servers so they could jump in to Federalize the election. Just the classic Agent Provocateur gambit. The KGB would be jealous.
I assume they were looking for incriminating evidence of their fraud, but why would it be on GA’s server? Unless there’s some different way GA handles the data in their precint results files that could prove coding fraud.
But the attempted hack was a couple days after the election.
Pretty weird stuff going on. There were other states hacked as well, but for some reason DHS didn’t hide their tracks with Georgia like the other attempts. Here is a guy explaining it clear back in August.
Oops! Missed that! But didn’t the subject of fraud ,Jeh Johnson and Federalizing the election come up in the MSM in the waning days of the election?
MSM was reportining that georgia was “in play” to go blue.
So somebody was telegraphing “the fix was in” in georgia.
Maybe their firewall was installed late & not anticipated by the time DHS hackers got in there???
From the time it was reported that DHS was getting involved to protect our voting system from fraud, l knew we were in trouble.
