President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed directives to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico and crack down on U.S. cities that shield illegal immigrants, proceeding quickly on sweeping and divisive plans to curb immigration and boost national security.
Trump signed two executive orders at the Department of Homeland Security, one ordering construction of a wall along the roughly 2,000-mile (3,200-kilometer) U.S.-Mexico border and the other moving to strip federal grant money from "sanctuary" states and cities, often governed by Democrats, that harbor illegal immigrants.
Speaking at the DHS after signing the orders, Trump said he will work with the agency to begin "immediate construction of a border wall." He added that he believes the executive actions will "improve the safety in both" the U.S. and Mexico. Trump also claimed that the measures could "save thousands of lives, millions of jobs and save billions and billions of dollars."

I was hoping he would say he had quietly put ten divisions on the southern border this morning, immediately cutting off the flow of illegals while the wall was built.

DACA must be stopped.
750,000 have already been given work permits and permission to stay under this illegal Obama edict.
USCIS is continuing to take new applications for DACA.
Even if they don’t rescind papers already issued, they must stop issuing new ones.

The faster this gets started the better. He needs Congress to provide the funds, correct? I think the House is on board, but will we see resistance from the Senate?
I’m not a wall fan. I think there are much better, easier ways to stop the illegals. Most of the laws are already in place. Enforce the laws, stop the DACA and amnesty crap and have Congress (since that’s what they think it takes) get rid of the anchor baby bullcrap. Track visas, etc. bam! They’ll all get deported one by one or go home and stop coming.

It isn’t just the illegals, it is the drugs coming in and the criminals and stolen merchandise going out.
The illegals commit crimes then hop back across the border. When the heat dies down they come back in again.
