The Price is Right....................
Yessssssssss
Perhaps because he is the most appropriate available replacement for Scalia.
Even Snoop Dogg thinks the Price is Right!..............
We shouldnt even have a Health and Human Services
Scalia?
I have no problems with Price’s finances, but I’m leery as to whether or not he is capable of taking the lead in health care reform. I’m not sure he’s prepared to lead a large bureaucracy, and I’m not sure if he’s capable of leading HHS through radical transformation.
Okay, when you say such things give a reason for such beliefs.
Why do you think he’s not capable?
Does Price give out stock tips? He has done very well.
I don’t really want to add 3.3 yrs to my life. What I would like to do is be 18 yrs old for an additional 3.3 yrs.
“The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services spent more than $103 billion on prescription drugs in 2013 under the Medicare Part D program.”
If President Trump didn’t think Rep Price was right for the position, I don’t think he would have chosen him
bump
Medicare Part D that they are touting here is a benefit passed by a Republican Congress and Republican president without a funding mechanism. No wonder it’s popular, nobody has to pay for it. It is financed through additional government debt. That is hardly a model for health care reform.
He has substantial experience in running orthopedic clinics and as a member of Congress, but I don’t see someone who has experience in a complete overhaul of an agency...or at least a major component of it (health care).
For this kind of assignment you’re more likely to have success with a proven leader who has faced similar challenges...
The point is moot now anyway. I presume he will get the job and will wish him great success with it. And that my health insurance premiums stop increasing, and that I won’t have any problems finding new doctors as I get older.
“The online dashboard covers $55 billion of the more than $143 billion spent on prescription drugs by the Medicare program in 2014.”

Drugs are also covered by Part B.
“Part B and Part D drug spending represented 14% of total Medicare expenditures in 2014 compared with 11% in 2010”

Price is the only Republican in Congress (except McCain) that has authored a serious plan as far as I know.
