Joe Scarborough reported something stunning on today’s Morning Joe—an insight into just how blatantly, consciously biased one of America’s leading newspapers was in its effort to elect Hillary Clinton.

Said Scarborough:

“There was somebody that held an extraordinarily important position in print media who brought their people together after Hillary Clinton lost and literally said, ‘we did the best we could do. We tried and we failed. But we did the best we could do.'”

What the establishment media did was not “bias”. It was out and out advocacy for one side over the other.

Even so, Scarborough rarely talks about the WSJ, whereas he has reporters from the NYT and WaPo on every day, and surely has better sources there.

President Trump tapped into American culture. America loves an under dog. Look at “Rocky”. It is the American story. Work hard, believe in yourself, believe in success, then enter the ring, fight, get hit, get up, hit, get hit but never give up.
That was trump. He got hit from every side. He would punch back, back and never stopped believing in himself and America. America saw a leader, a warrior, a friend. They were in his corner and never left. They told their friends and family over coffee. They became the resistance. The underground. They didn't want to be found. They came to rallies to tap into his energy and then back to the underground.
Our Rocky never stopped fighting and we knew it. We saw it. we got our energy from his energy. He was America's under dog. And American culture embraced him. When they raised his arm in victory Election Night, we all cheered, we all jumped up and we all cried that America was saved. He fought for us, we fought for him. America won.

Humorous, but at our own expense. We heard Trump's message directly from him without filters, we knew that he had heard us, and we elected him. The media was never going to win after their failed attempt to slay Trump right after his announcement to run with their silly boycotts and feigned indignance. And Hillary was never going to be protected by a willing media in this age of the internet and social media.

Exactly, and only the unified mainstream media could have turned a billionaire into the underdog. I’m glad they did it, since Hillary following Obama would have been the end of the United States as a free country. But I hope they will learn from the price of their overwhelming bias and become the professionals they claim to be.
