Well, Rick Steves is smart enough to not have an on-screen Craig like the Frugal Gourmet did. I had Jeff Smith to my club in the 90s to talk about his latest book and he was intolerably rude to staff and members. What a mistake on my part!

It is amazing that people who have one vice they refuse to try and keep under control, that they turn their whole life over to state sanctioned evil, instead being humbled and trying with greater effort, to do good.

A little late :
1) His shows, usually seen on PBS, are generally more than a decade old and those ‘happy’ countries he shows are in illegal-immigrant-hell/islamic-anti-semetism turmoil NOW.
2) He has a recent special on “Fascism” (in Europe) which is lovingly repeated on PBS, but no comparable Show on Communism’s rise and detriments to the World (even HE must understand that such a show would NEVER play on PBS (which seems to be his main market) as it would paint their fellow travelers in a bad light).
3) He calls travel overseas ‘a political act’ (and dismisses ‘people in ‘the middle of our country with no passports’ like they are the problem). He spews that leftard brownnosing garbage on the PBS telethons while shilling his DVD and such.
Mr Steves YOU DONT NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO SAN FRANCISCO (OR MANY OTHER LEFTIST-RUN CITY) TO SEE BUMS/FECES/NEEDLES LAYING IN THE STREETS (right next to the main transit hubs where tourist go, even...) AND NOW THE CURRENT EPIDEMIC OF SANITATION DISEASES THERE THAT WERE THOUGHT WIPED OUT 100 YEARS AGO.
NOTE - YOU GET BANNED FOR UTTERING THIS KIND OF BLASPHEMY on any PBS leftard-moderated Forum ....
