Melania Trump will get from the White House to Trump Tower faster than your average big city commuter takes to get home -- and she's doing it by plane, chopper and automobile. TMZ broke the story ... Melania will stay at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave Friday and Saturday night and then return to Trump Tower Sunday with Barron so he can continue his school year in NYC. It's going to be quite the whirlwind trip home. Our sources tell us Melania will drive in a motorcade from the White House to Andrews AFB in Maryland: 20 mins. Then she'll hop on a 737 or a 757 (similar to Trump's jumbo jet) to NYC's LaGuardia Airport: 45 mins. From there, they'll dodge bridge and tunnel traffic by taking a helicopter to Manhattan's Chelsea district: 15 mins. Their journey ends with another motorcade for the 2.5 mile ride to Trump Tower: 10 mins. All told, Melania's looking at a 90 minute ride. No carpool necessary. It's good to be the First Lady.
Uh SO WHAT?? I HATE THESE DAMN MEDIA GHOULS. What the hell is the point behind this? The last POS and his family of reads spent $18 million of our tax dollars on vacations.
Why can’t she just take a helicopter from the White House to NYC? Why would they tie up so much traffic?

These are the same people who swooned and wet their pants every time Moochie Obama took a seperate 747 on family vacations and every time she took multi-million dollar trips around the world.
If that had to be done every day, it would be a pain in the butt!
Why not just land their own chopper on the lawn, and fly it to Trump Tower and land there? Security? It’s 250 miles from NYC to DC. Would that be about 45 min to one hour trip by chopper? or less?
It would cut 30 min. from the trip, be less hassel, use less fuel and require fewer persons which could potentially reduce security concerns. The landing and take off’s are the most dangerous parts...
Just a thought.
Yes, I don’t understand the plan. Seems straight chopper would be the way to go..but perhaps there is some security thing involved here with dummy transportation.
Use a V-22 point to point, easier and cheaper.

Heh. there *IS* the issue of comfort.
A helicopter doesn’t actually fly; it beats the air into submission, and your ears along with it. Quite the ride.
A 737 is a MUCH nicer ride.
Andrews AFB is a less-than-10-minute chopper flight.
LGA to NYC is less than 5 miles as the helo flies.
AND it might actually cost less to use the hybrid filght plan than to take an escorted helo the 200+ miles.
And MUCH louder.
They overfly our house frequently. V-22 makes a Blackhawk sound like a stealth aircraft.
Perhaps she’s fearful for herself & her son.
The 737/757 is probably safer.
