BRUSSELS, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- When President Barack Obama leaves the White House later this month, he will leave behind a shocking legacy of death and destruction in the Middle East. His foreign policy vision, which saw the United States focus on cooperation with Iran as its core strategy, has unlocked a Pandora's box of conflict and sectarian strife across the zone.

Obama has now belatedly, during the closing days of his administration, come to realize that the nuclear deal with Iran and his concessions to that ruthless regime have in fact not only threatened the security of the Middle East, but have even undermined the interests of the United States. Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Turkey have tried in vain to prevent Iran's aggressive expansionism in the region, but they have been repeatedly thwarted by U.S. empathy for the mullahs' regime. His failure to back the Syrian opposition has allowed the bloody civil war in that country to rage on into its seventh year, costing hundreds of thousands of lives and sparking

That statement assumes facts not in evidence.

Diminishing the power and security of the United States while advancing the interests of Iran and other enemies of the US was clearly not an inadvertent side effect of his policies to which Obama is only now becoming aware, but rather was Obama's deliberate goal from the beginning.

He is to blame - he was in charge.

However, I expect history to show that many of those in positions of trust throughout his administration pushed him to make poor policy decisions. This is especially true where he was advised by a Sec of State who was indirectly receiving massive donations to a private foundation as her husband made huge speaking fees from nations that saw benefit from chaos. Sidney Blumenthal wanted Libya in turmoil and he got it (along with classified information).

Most historians will cover for Obama - be prepared for it in the short term. The long view will not be kind.

Hillary and Bill Clinton's have also contributed, as well has others in forming the policies of this most vile and evil administration America has ever known.

Pray DJT and his team are able to rid America of this ineptitude and corruption, and can restore us to a nation of skilled leaders, and of law followers - not law breakers.

We've witnessed what this current administration is capable of, so don't believe they're going to easily give up their power, nor that they are going to make this transition a smooth one - as Obama has promised - for he is one of the world's greatest liars.
