I thought "Oriental" was verboten, a micro-agression, not PC. Hells-bells, I just can't keep up with it all.

Still don’t get that one. For a word that only means “East”, should I get bent out of shape if anyone calls me “Occidental”? (Occidentally on purpose.) And “Asian” would mean that you’re really from a certain part of present-day Turkey.

Word smiths were more colorful at one time:

HELL’S BELLS! - “The more colorful curse ‘hell’s bells and buckets of blood!’ was the original of the imprecation, which probably originated at sea during the late 19th century, under what circumstances no one knows.” From “Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins” by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997).

Might be like NAACP...you can’t say ‘colored’...but others can.

See? That’s exactly the kind of chauvinism, racism, and cultural insensitivity the report in question was trying to document!!! It’s downgrading, deplorable, and denigratory!
