I do remember with some disquiet the story of some rich Baptist ministry that would hand out little parcels after the recipients had sat there for an hour or so of preaching. The recipients were interviewed by a secular TV station and said they felt themselves demeaned.
That was indeed the wrong spirit. For the ministry to be wealthy wasn’t the bad thing. For it to rub the noses of its beneficiaries into its status was the screamingly wrong thing. They became opaque, rather than clear windows to Christ. Christ would have said here, we have meals, all that you decently care to eat, and we will have gospel messages while you eat and as long afterward as you care to stay.
It’s time for raacists like this to get a real job and stop trying to weasel a living off their black skin.
The days where just about every black in America could run a scam using their black skins to intimidate and impart guilt on soft-hearted and soft-brained whites are drawing to a close.
America can’t afford another generation of idiot racist moochers like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Cynthia McKinney and Sheila Jackson Lee.
If raciost blacks continue to push it past a tolerable level there will probably be some serious blowback and it will be headed their way.
Where you might see a problem, I think I see an opportunity.
Does this chap want to talk about Jesus? Good! Now he has no reason to complain about it.
Let’s walk him through what the bible means, rather than what he’s using it to mean, beating people over the head with it. Just because he beats them from the left side, doesn’t make it any better than beating them from the right side.
It’s good he is a former minister.
That could mean a lot of things, including that he just got disgruntled with his church.
Some of them are really seekers. People tend to turn up their nose at “seeker sensitive” but the biggest problem, I think, with “seeker sensitive” is that they are “way too tentative with answers.” Tell the seeker “Here it is! You’ve found it!” With a bona fide picture of Christ. This guy is saying Donald Trump is a contradiction to a Christ that the Presbyterian church already shrank to a caricature. I think he’s in a better position (like Pope Francis said, fighting God is prayer) here, than in mouthing platitudes because a church told him to mouth them. He might discover what rich means! It means God is your wealth, which might or might not show up in bank accounts, but you are always ready to lay its manifestation down at His will.
I don’t think this is a seeker. I see a race pimp.
Just wait until Jehovah moves to protect his copyright, dude.
Would be more appropriate for Obama’s supporters to replace Jesus with Obama.
He is a leader of the “Church of I’m Goin’ to Get Mine from these Suckers”.
I predict he will soon find his ministry serving fellow jailbirds.
Some petiole will never grow up.
HAHAHAHA. He would probably be the first to scream, “SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!!! GET GOD OUT OF GOVERNMENT!!!”
