Just before the Democrats were done, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R.-AL) appeared on the floor to cast his vote for repeal and President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nominee to lead the Justice Department stayed on the Senate floor until the voting was complete."

De-licious! that this repeal is starting while Obama is still in office.

ACA was the only real domestic legacy accomplishment he had, and now all he can do is watch it being dissolved — while he is still in office and can do nothing about it.

I expect the House to (1) pass the repeal, and (2) send it to President Trump’s desk no earlier than Friday, January 20, 2017, but no later than Monday, January 23. If they extend it to a full repeal and go to conference in time for the bill to hit President Trump’s desk by Monday the 23rd, I’m okay with that too.

Repeal Obamacare.

Build the wall.

Deport illegals.

Shrink FedGov.

Beautiful. I would have loved to have seen their frowning faces as the bill passed. This is a victory for the working people of America who have, for too long, had to subsidize free healthcare for those who will not work for a living.

(Majority Whip John Cornyn) would say in a stern voice: “Point of order.”

Excellent. That's exactly how it's done.

This election win is the gift that keeps on giving. I’m sure we’ll see another video series of butt-hurt libs on YouTube. That’s great, have at it, I’d rather see angry profane videos than people hitting the streets throwing bricks and setting things on fire.

the Senate is too close, 50R-48D-2Assholes (McShame and Lindsay)

there was some talk that DJT had a couple D senators who might be good for administrative appointments due to their outside knowledge .... and where R governors would appoint R senators to replace them

maybe this idea should be looked at again... a D who is voting lockstep like a good little commie against everything we voted to achieve in Congress... is a potential problem for us (and DJT’s agenda)

if those same D’s really do have good knowledge of outside subject and they can safely be given other jobs where they can apply that knowledge (under administrative direction, of course) .... maybe its a good idea all around????

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D.-CA), who is recovering from a scheduled medical procedure was absent from the chamber.

I bet she could afford her premium and deductible. And I bet she kept her doctor.

An alternative to subsidy repeal might be to cut the EIC the corresponding amount.

I think in any case that the subsidy level should never exceed 80% of the cost of the plan.

By cutting subsidies 100%, healthy people may drop coverage. That would make many insurers financially insolvent. One of those insurers might be yours.

Killing the PPACA off for good (in every sense) will probably have to wait to take effect on January 1, 2018.

The presiding officer, Sen. Cory Gardner (R.-CO) repeatedly ruled the Democrats out of order: “Debate is not in order during a vote.”

This was the same shtick they pulled during the Electoral College vote count. When the Democrats don't get their way they throw a tantrum.

One House down, one to go! This will be the biggest repeal of a law since the 21st Amendment was adopted (ending Prohibition).

Hey, that's my senator! Glad to see he's fully participating in the repeal.

I’m watching a stream of a House debate regarding the waiver for Gen. Mattis that’s fairly contentious. Does it have teeth?
