Democratic lawmakers put back on display on Capitol Hill a controversial painting that angered police with its depiction of officers as pigs -- after Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter personally took down the picture last week.
The move Tuesday by members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Rep. Lacy Clay, D-Mo., whose office for months had sponsored the display of the student artwork, could revive tensions with the law enforcement community.
But Clay told the Washington Post he wants the Capitol Police to press theft charges against Hunter for removing the artwork Friday.

It boggles the mind that the Democrats find this to be a hill to die on.

When you think of the Democrat Party as more of an organized crime racket than a political party, then just about everything that they do makes sense.
The definition of effrontery:
Asking the police to arrest a man for taking down a painting depicting the police as pigs.
What we are seeing now is the transformation of the Democrat Party from a national party to that of an urban/regional one. It has been going on for the past 10 years and it is rapidly accelerating.
If the dems think that this issue portraying law enforcement as ‘pigs’ is a winning issue (much like gay marriage, islamic refugees, transgender bathrooms, unrestricted abortion, etc.), then the follow elections will show the exodus of voters from the party.
Somebody should have the guts to just make this trash piece disappear.
Families with sick kids need to go view the painting. Hopefully some kid will accidentally puke all over it.

He should have destroyed the picture after removing it.
“The rehanging of this painting for public view represents more than just protecting the rights of a student artist, it is a proud statement in defense of the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which guarantees freedom of expression to every American,” the CBC said in a news release.
This from the very same group demanding removal of the Confederate Battle Flag from government property.

If Mr. Hunter took it and burned it, then they can charge it with theft. He took it down and gave it back to the Congressman who hung it up there. How is that theft?
These people really make me ill.
Haven’t heard them say that the lives of the two black cops killed in Orlando by a black criminal mattered.
It appears the white racists who voted for Trump didn’t fall for Obama’s plans for a civil war. Yet.
Why is this not offensive to Muslims?
