The dingo stole my emails.

Sad story. For a long time it was assumed that the parents had made the entire story up, in fact, if I remember correctly (its been along time), they may have even been charged with murdering their child. Then of course the running joke, “Dingo took my baby!” which became synonymous with a bad excuse like “Dog ate my homework” Then several years latter a part of a child's blanket and some remains were found in dingo den near their campsite, proving that they were likely telling the truth all along.

With all due respect, I remember the story but I don’t remember them saying they actually found any remains, or a blanket; could you cite that evidence please?

Daughter was named “Azaria”?
Was it an homage to Frank Azaria the actor, who does a voice on The Simpsons?

Here you go:
But the couple was convicted in Azarias death, and sentenced to life in prison in 1982. Just three years later, however, Azarias jacket was found near a dingo den, and the couple was released from prison.
But it wouldnt be until June 12, 2012 that a coroner from the northern Australian city of Darwin would officially rule that infant was actually killed by dingoes. That revelation came after four inquests by the Chamberlains who had since gotten divorced. http://national.suntimes.com/national-world-news/7/72/1656080/dingo-ate-my-baby-case-35-years/
