The Obama Era is Over
Obama and his supporters loved talking about history. His victory was historic. They were on the right side of history. History was an inevitable arc that bent their way.
The tidal force of demographics had made the old America irrelevant. Any progressive policy agenda was now possible because we were no longer America. We Were Obamerica. A hip, happening place full of smiling gay couples, Muslim women in hijab and transgender actors. We were all going to live in a New York City coffee house, work at Green Jobs and live in the post-national future.

And that is in its own way far more brutal and wounding. They didn’t just destroy the Obama era. Instead they dismissed it as if it never existed.
Obama didn’t make history after all. He wasn’t a teleprompter demi-god standing athwart of history. He was Carter and Ford. He was there to be forgotten. He didn’t change the world. He wasn’t the messiah. He was merely a mortal. Just another politician who will sag and age. Who will, in the end, be photographed like Bill Clinton, lonely and lost in a world that has passed him by.

I agree in general with the sentiments in this article but fear that the author grossly understates the damage Obama has done to our culture. Teaching children that transsexualism is okay is just one example of the many, many problems we will have to overcome as we try to repair all the damage.

Frontpagemag is a good site too. David Horowitz, who started it, was a “Red Diaper Baby” until he grew up and figured out how f***ed up the Left is in this Country.
He’s another good guy. The Leftadniki hate him, because he exposed them.
I agree, 0bamaomau did a lot of damage. I can’t speak for the author but I think dismissing The Won’s importance helps minimize his long term affect.
I don't blame Ø for the culture... Ø made an existing leftist culture worse, for sure. No, perhaps the left's infiltration of schools, universities, media created a culture where Ø could garner 55 million votes. Twice, sadly.
I know Horowitz’ work well. Came across this site and the article on James Woods’ Twitter feed.
When I consider Obama and all he’s meant to this nation I feel like I need to take a dumb, vomit and thoroughly shower just to scrub off the association.
And don’t forget all the school children who, for eight years now, have been taught that he is god. They have simultaneously been taught the real God does not exist.
No need to second-guess the Trump win after reading that list.

(HAT TIP CONRAD BLACK---PARAPHRASING) Obama has operated the most incompetent administration since James Buchanan brought on the Civil War, but his pigmentation gave him immunity to severe criticism, disguising how inept he has been, how authoritarian and sleazy he's been; his self absorption and vanity has gone almost unnoticed as the MSM toadies and bootlickers went into overdrive.
That Obama actually believes he could have won a third term, and that the Russians helped Trump win, is a testament to his deluded thinking.
It's frightening to think this is the kind of mentality we've lived under eight years.
The aftermath is too unnerving to contemplate: a president who did nothing meaningful except count the number of brown people---foreign and domestic---getting tax dollars, and a spouse forcing school kids to eat kale chips.
