Study finds potential instability in Atlantic Ocean water circulation system
Yale University ^ | 1/4/17 | Jim Shelton

One of the world’s largest ocean circulation systems may not be as stable as today’s weather models predict, according to a new study.

In fact, changes in the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) — the same deep-water ocean current featured in the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” — could occur quite abruptly, in geologic terms, the study says. The research appears in the Jan. 4 online edition of the journal Science Advances.

Hat tip to Suspscious Observers

Before everybody gets all wee wee'd up note that the article states "could occur quite abruptly, in geologic terms".

So the Atlantic Ocean is getting all screwed up.

The Atlantic’s western coast is lined with Eastern US ‘Rat cities, and the Atlantic’s eastern coast is lined with European liberal-moonbat cities...

I’m suspecting a connection.

AMOC has run amok?

Trump is sh**canning the climate change fake theory so a new catastrophe has to be found to keep the money going.

We’ve known about the Atlantic circulation system for years. I told the wife a couple of days ago that the MSM would quickly link this supposedly “new” study with CO2 and shazaaam, I was correct.

So, CO2 causes warming which will then cause cooling.

Doesn’t matter that the “old” CO2 level almost completely absorbed the small amount of heat within 40 feet or so, whilst the “new” levels do it in around 30 feet. Either way, we are close to the asymptotic limit of absorption in that particular band of energy, and more CO2 adds will not even come close to doing what the government grant, low-T “researchers” say it will do. Don’t believe me? Check out the lengthy list of “climate change” predictions that have all the validity of a speech by Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch.

I’m pretty sure the ocean is stable no matter what it does.
It’s the researchers who call earth’s systems ‘unstable’ who have a problem.

"could occur quite abruptly, in geologic terms".

Imminent in geologic terms is 100-500 years. Abrupt is probably 10,000 years.

Are these not the same weather models, that 97% of the scientists say, predict man made global warming 100% of the time?

"Trump is sh**canning the climate change fake theory...."

Rumor has it that Ivanka, a warmer, will head policy on that front. One of Mr.T's few really bad ideas.

That is a mighty big soup bowl to start making any types of predictions. Should be about as accurate as a hockey stick.

Is anyone familiar with this? On Coast To Coast a month ago they were discuss global warming and temperature rises in the ocean. The guest said there were over 11,000 active volcanos under the oceans and that would explain any heating of the ocean water temps.
