One would think Schumer and the rest of the Democrats would wake up and smell the coffee. Instead they continue to listen to their disastrous lame duck leader telling them to fight Trump and the Republicans. It’s like Hitler hold up in the bunker believing the war was still winnable.
Can anyone explain why PMs are rising in the face of the Trump surge and a strong $USD ? and what is their outlook?
Dems thought they would rule forever... really stupid.
“.all boils down to is that Democrats are now suffering the consequences of their own shortsighted hubris”
Liberals’ inability to see obvious unintended consequences has always baffled me
The change was it no longer requires 60 votes to pass a cloture motion. I’m not sure what the procedure is to make the motion for cloture or to vote on that motion.
cloture definition: (in a legislative assembly) a procedure for ending a debate and taking a vote.
Supreme Court Nominees are no longer under Fillibuster Rules
Democrats: hoisted by their own petard...
Yes, the absolute worst candidate they could have chosen. God gave us that gift.
016 is proof of the power of prayer.
You are absolutely correct! Without specifying further which "judical" courts he intended it to apply to, Harry Reid failed to limit it's scope. .....
Sorry, too worried (but happy) to be expected to grieve for them. They made their bed, let ‘em sleep in it. Rats seldom see the final outcome after they pitch the ball. What was envision is seldom seen in reality. Strategy is not in their dictionary.
I’m not getting too enthused about this just yet. McCain and Graham never met a dem idea they didn’t love to stick in a Republican majority’s back after a fresh re-election. The GOPe is alive and well.
“The Dems would change it back...” that might be so but we would have new Conservative Judges for quite a few years.
In the interest of "bi-partisanship" I can easily see The Stupid Party reinstating the filibuster.
The Senate is an anti-democratic institution, on purpose..
Even as powerful as Trump is my thinking is that he probably cannot control the price of gold, and while gold is up since a month ago it's still down to where it was seven years ago. Most gold is mined outside the U.S. so I'd think a strong dollar should keep the price of gold low (in dollars).
The Senate is an anti-democratic institution, on purpose..
--and that's how we want it to be.
And they need to CONTINUE to pay and pay and pay! Shame on them for trying to destroy America from within! Shame. On. Them. The damage they have done thus far is far reaching and deep!
Let’s make a pact: No more Un-American Socialists in government positions! Keep draining the swamp!
And that goes for some of our POS RINOs, too! You don’t like what our Founding Fathers set up for us? GTFO and go start your own country somewhere else!
Scoot! Git!
