HAMPTON -- A former Newton police officer charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy in a Burger King bathroom last month is making a second try at getting out of jail...

...Miller was on probation at the time of his arrest.

He resigned from the Newton force in 2015 as part of a plea agreement after allegations he exposed himself to male motorists during traffic stops.

As part of Miller's guilty plea to tampering with records, charges of lewdness and official misconduct were dismissed.

Given my background as an investigator, I'd bet you dollars to donuts this guy had a long history of deviant behavior.

If he states that he is a pre-op transsexual with a strap-on deficiency, does that get him off?

It doesn’t take much to get a badge and a gun in the garbage state.

I kind of see the wisdom of using nepotism in police recruiting. Relatives know relatives and no cop will recommend a relative, not even a son, whom he feels is “not cut out for the job”. Forget psychological and background screening, they’re useless. Oh the stories I could tell you.

Any way you look at it, this man is in a World of Sh*T.
Not likely that he will ever get out of it completely, because he doesn’t seem to be taking ownership of his crimes.
Of course, he can no longer be a policeman, if the accusations of indecent behavior are true. He’s very sick and I am surprised this tendency was not spotted when he applied.
Maybe with so many cops leaving the force (Fergusson Effect)
some cities are less fussy about who they hire.

New Jersey! Why travel to California for crazy when you’ve got all you can want here in the Garden State?

I learned to trick the police interview polygraph by tightening and relaxing my sphincter throughout the process.

It worked!

I can understand (but not approve) that some men are homosexual.

I can understand (but definitely not accept) that some of those men are aroused by older boys.

These impulses are unfortunately long standing sins that predate human history.

But how could anyone with an ounce of sanity in their warped minds think that public fast food restaurant bathroom is a good place to scratch their deviant itch?

Give him 40 years for the crime, and tack on another 40 for being stupid.

Yep, that'll work. Raise your baseline and dampen psychophysiological responses. And they are looking for evidence of physiological responses. But you're not masking deception because the polygraph doesn't look for deception (lying). It is pseudoscience developed in the 1920's. I can't think of a technology that hasn't evolved in close to a century. This should be a clue it is a mere prop.

I hesitate to offer ways to counter the polygraph lest the federal government comes down on me.

http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/11/polygraph-com-owner-accused-of-training-customers-to-beat-the-polygraph/

A former Oklahoma City police officer was indicted Thursday on accusations of teaching people to cheat on lie detector tests, the government announced Friday.

The 69-year-old Norman, Oklahoma, man is the owner of Polygraph.com and charged customers thousands of dollars for instructions on how to beat lie detector tests administered for federal employment suitability assessments, federal security background investigations, and internal federal agency investigations, court documents show.
