Why Obamacare is unlikely to die a swift death

Congressional Republicans have long boasted that once they claim the reins of power, they will act quickly and decisively to roll back what they view as the most onerous piece of President Obama’s domestic agenda: the Affordable Care Act.

But their actions starting Tuesday to end Obamacare will be far less sweeping, at least initially, than a full-blown repeal of the law.

I have a game — guess the source by reading the headline. I can call the WaPo pretty accurately.

Trump can end Zerocare by way of the SCOTUS once he gets to make a 2nd appointment...damned Roberts :-(

To get the several RINO repubs in the senate to vote for repeal will be like herding cats...effing McStain and his gf Lindsay. :-(

Provision will have to be made for the many people with pre-existing conditions that were dropped from their old insurance by Zerocare...IMO this was planned so as to make it difficult and expensive to repeal this monstrosity since no insurance company will want to cover these people.. It would be like selling fire insurance to a man whose house was already on fire.

In the end I think they will cover them under an expansion of medicare...it will have to be paid for. Perhaps all the welfare funds now going to illegals and rapefugees would cover it :-)

“...They better do their jobs, ..... or else...”

They have no idea of the hostility pent up against this POS law.
To NOT undo it will be “the undoing of them”.
They are so out of touch with the “unwashed masses”.

What’s the opposite of “Don’t throw me in that briar patch B’rer Wolf”?

Anyway, Pelosi’s Dems are stuck with supporting any laws that ease the repeal of Obamacare. This is all bluster by Dems and their media.

Just saying.

Trump said all along, “Repeal, and replace” Obamacare.

Note. Repeal, AND REPLACE.

There are around 20 million Americans who the old system did not cover.

Those people are covered now. Whatever you think of Obamacare, that is a big challenge, for any leader now.

Repeal, and replace.

Repeal it first, then replace it

I want a sunset date, if they want to reenact some parts of Obamacare, so be it.

But I want to see it repealed entirely.

Anything else is BS, and I am not going to stand for it.

Nope.

America needs a healthcare system, for all Americans.

What we had before, was not it.

I’m not saying Obamacare is the answer, but what we had before was likewise not the answer.

The answer, is to somehow provide healthcare for everyone.

We are the most advanced country in the world. Yet millions of Americans don’t even have basic healthcare.

This is a very important issue.

The GOP had decades to fix things. They did not.

Simply bringing back an expensive, broken system is not the answer.

Every socialist program has the unstated goal of entwining itself around and within the social structure so as to make itself difficult to remove, much like the advanced stages of cancer.

It’s certain to face a swift death. Trump knows how much it’s screwing up healthcare.

Repeal.

Give 2 yrs for it to end. Two years is plenty. Pass the law with an end date on it. The insurance companies will need that time, as much as the participants.

If the GOP can’t craft a replacement in 2 years, they deserve to lose in the midterms.

You’re not real big on having an intelligent conversation, I see.

Suit yourself.

I voted for Donald Trump, have supported the guy since before he even announced as a candidate.

You can accuse and name-call all you want. I am just saying, Trump has said all along, Repeal and Replace.

I agree, 100% with that.
