Maybe he was educated that if he really wanted to live in a Trumpless world, it was going to be a lot smaller world than he figured on.
Plus, not all Trump supporters are bitter; many of them, like Donald himself, believe in the charm offensive. Could he have gotten a “love note” saying that if he relented, they’d gladly patronize his place even though they hadn’t before?
So many decades of creeping leftism have acclimated even “average Americans” to looking at issues from the negative side. How can I coerce, punish, etc. these people into doing what I want, or at least into executing a satisfactory cringe before me?
And that’s the devil’s trap. “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” as Gandhi put it. Without someone being willing to be generous even to sinners, we pull ourselves tightly into the trap.
God, literally, is the answer. God is a fount of unlimited generosity, asking only sincere glorification for it. This goes beyond “religion” to spirituality. It can turn parsimony inside out.
Imagine if he said:
“This is my place and if I don’t want to serve a Trump black person, I can do that,”

trump has taught us to fight like the left and I’m loving every minute of it. I continue to be amazed by the Trump movement..it ain’t going away and is as hardcore now if not more than during the election.
