Britain scolded U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry for describing the Israeli government as the most right-wing in Israeli history, a move that aligns Prime Minister Theresa May more closely with President-elect Donald Trump.

After U.S. President Barack Obama enraged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by refusing to veto a UN Security Council resolution demanding an end to Israeli settlement building, Kerry's public rebuke of Israel has unsettled some allies such as Britain.

Amid one of the United States' sharpest confrontations with Israel since the 1956 Suez crisis, Kerry said in a speech that Israel jeopardizeds hopes of peace in the Middle East by building settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem....

Couldn’t the UK have vetoed the resolution as well as the US?

We new Obama’s treachery would get worse as the end of his term approached. With the election of Trump rather than Clinton, it’s worse than we’d imagined. At least Vlad is holding back and refusing to pay Obama’s petulant game, just biding his time till January 20.

THEN WHY DIDN’T THEY CAST THE VETO??? What did GB think would happen when they let the camel’s nose into the tent?

I picture that officer at the tail end of The Bridge Over the River Kwai ... “Oh my God, what have I done?”

They’re a bunch of fraidy cats. Look at the UK. No one has the guts to say no.

Everyone is quick to condemn Kerry’s remarks yet no one would step up to veto the resolution. This is politics pure and simple and something Trump is going to address over the next 8 years.

“England voted in favor of UNSCR 2334”

Yes, isn’t that curious. Perhaps their UN rep didn’t get the memo...

"Germany's foreign minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has come out in favour of the Kerry speech"

A German government against the Jews. That's never happened before..

"The one free democracy has been thrown under the bus - and that's Israel"

Get in line sir. That bus driver Obama has been throwing people under it for 8 years. January 20th is not that far off though...

Britain is being hypocritical.

They too could have vetoed the resolution.

Maybe they didn’t anticipate the fuss Jewish organizations would make over the Security Council resolution, so they took the path of least resistance and voted for it (gotta appease those Arabs - we don’t want trouble).

But now they’re thinking about those large Jewish contributions that may be forfeit.

Playing both sides.

If you look in the dictionary for crust, hubris and smug arrogance, a map of Great Britain shows up.

Obama - earning the disdain of friends and foes alike - love Putin’s latest word on not retaliating - kind of shows Obama’s ass even more than he tried for...

“Germany’s foreign minister...has come out in favor of the Kerry speech.”

Not surprising at all. The German administration is turning itself into pretzels trying to appease, cover up for, and curry favor with its Islamic migrants.

In light of this criticism, it doesn’t seem to make sense that the UK supported the anti-Israel UN resolution of last week.

In the next 21 days, will the UK take up sanctions against the US for Barry’s overt interference in the BREXIT vote, then rescind them when Trump is sworn in?
