FR is watched closely and balloons are first tested here. There are several ways we have been influencing politics here that surprise even me in their rapidity in adoption. I have been here a long time and see our impact and direct quotes from FR in the media.

I agree. thoughtomator, though, has a better vector. I wish to use it to get the absurdity of tonights 'Russian hacking report', as viewed by a subject matter expert (me) in front of a lot more eyes.

Personally, I’d love to hear your list of adjectives on your countdown cited on radio and tv. They are hilarious!

It’s not a lame garbage report... it’s extremely significant.

Come on, if you’ve worked in federal IT then you know what happens when you get an order to produce a report that is completely at odds with the facts - you fill it with boilerplate from a textbook and weasel words.

It’s basic CYA, which is the primary skill of any bureaucrat.

Never had that happen. Say what you will about most Federal agencies (and I am likely to agree with you) but the CDC is one of the cleanest, least-sullied agencies out there.

Well, except for tobacco. They have a hard-on for tobacco. :)

OK in most of the government, it’s pretty routine for employees to get politically-driven orders that are at complete odds with reality.

When that happens, the CYA instinct kicks in (those who don’t have it, don’t last long in government employment). So they produce the report in such a way that the requester gets something that appears to be what they want, while not leaving the employee on the hook for how it is used.

This is a textbook example of that phenomenon. Enough verbiage to make a middle manager’s eyes glaze over so that they don’t realize that they didn’t really get what they wanted.

Deep in the - I think I would use something other than HF these days ...

because we’re pretty deep in something - yes I saw the qualifiers on the report - to paraphrase

Fake quote - This report is meaningless. Do not rely on anything whatsoever that might be in this report. The author(s) believe this report is total bat guano, and were ordered to write up something for which there is a complete lack of evidence. Repeat: this report is bat guano. End fake (but accurate) quote in the preface to the report.

Of course, the enemedia will never quote the preface.

I played a vital role in bringing Eric Cantor down, and in the process successfully pressured him to end the House leadership obstruction that was stopping the Benghazi committee investigation from getting underway (which itself played a major role in bringing Clinton down).

Sometimes if you push the right pebble you can start an avalanche!

blaming the Russians for “hacking DNC website in order to influence an election” would be like dropping a wallet in the middle of a busy street with stolen credit cards in it, and then arresting whoever picks it up and tries to return it to the owner for conspiracy to commit identity theft.....”LAME” FAKE NEWS

On a nights sleep, I wake up and wonder if this was an ACTUAL Russian attack, on the world’s most prominent and well-travelled website, to demonstrate what a Russian hack REALLY looks like.

I see. Thankfully I was never subjected to that perfidy.

The thing that blows my mind is that this ‘report’ is so transparantly bad that it verges on signalling:

“We got nothing. Anyone with a brain, please know that.”

Even a layman, someone not in the field, can see that.

The obozo admin is intentionally blurring information. Nothing new has occurred.

OMG! Other countries spy on us and try to influence American domestic and foreign policy to better their own interest?! Say it aint so! But show me PROOF they “Hacked” the election. First define the word “hacked” and then prove how it was done.

My tin foil hat wearing theory is this:

It seems Russia has been increasingly harassing our diplomats. Some type of retaliatory action had to have been planned for awhile.

Barry, (with Soros leading him by the nose) decided to use the “election hacking” excuse to undermine Trump, and to do it just shortly before leaving office so he doesn’t have to deal with the blowback. Classy move obozo /s.

Just MHO.
