Law enforcement loves the social media because everything that you type is preserved in clear black and white, forever.
It’s possible to argue over words spoken, saying that they were misunderstood, but there is no arguing over the written word. There they are, for all to see, and they will never go away.
If you type something that is incriminating, they have an easy indictment and conviction.
I would be curious if facebook gets any revenue from the requests, and what percentage of their revenue comes from government.
