SCIENTISTS may have found proof that E.T. really is phoning home in the form of powerful radio signals which have been detected repeatedly in the same exact location in space.
Calling occupants of interplanetary craft
Calling occupants of interplanetary, most extraordinary craft
You’ve been observing our earth
And we’d like to make a contact with you
We are your friends
We would like to serve Man
Let’s add a little science to this postulation. Radio waves travel at the speed of light. If they originated 8 million light years away then it took them 8 million years to arrive at Earth. If we respond, it will arrive at their planet 9 million years from now. Trying to contact us? I don’t think so.
Heading over to Kolob Canyon waiting for instructions right now and will report back if the signal tells me more. Will my Windows phone work? GPS anyone? Elsie?
Drink your Ovaltine
Yes, yes the source in maga-light years away and very old, but it just got here. So have a sense of wonder watching the early creation of our Universe.
The message has been deciphered.
It repeats the same line over and over:
“Drink Vernors - Va-Va-Va-Voom!
If they were doing the “Time Warp” we should all hope we don’t end up having to eat Meat Loaf.
All these worlds are yours except Europa. Attempt no landing there. Use them together. Use them in peace.....
All these worlds are yours except Europa..
All these worlds...
Dang astrologers!
Gee, may they will be like the aliens in BATTLESHIP.
We taste with our tongues. The last batch of space aliens
is running out. I just defrosted the last package from the
freezer. - We need more! :o)
Uh, not to float any conspiracy theories or anything, but...
Has anyone else noticed ET’s voice (”Phone home!”) and the Red Rum voice (”Red Rum! Red Rum!”) in The Shining is exactly the same?
Hmmmm...
“...the ‘Morally Advanced’ aliens will be arriving soon to Baptize us. Jesuits are in charge now!”
That right there was LOL funny.
‘Course, most Protestants wouldn’t get it...
The article is legitimate and sourced from the Astrophysical Journal.
Yeah, and -- since radio travels at lightspeed -- that means the signals originated 3 billion years ago.
Time for us to get all excited... (</SARCASM>)
let’s send Obama/Kerry/HilLIARy/Pelosi/Soros up there to investigate the source of the signals
one nice rocket ship should do it
You've just described anthropogenic global warming...errr...climate change.
From deep space? so maybe 10 billion light years away? Unless these aliens (?) have conquered the speed of light in a really big way, we probably don’t have to worry about them for maybe 500M light year? I don’t think I will still be up at that time and the world will be gone long before then.
