Keep an eye on that dam and the city of Mosul (ancient Nineveh )The dam is built on the wrong type soil for a dam.
They have refused the advice of real engineers to drain the lake behind it .There used to be many Christians in Mosul , they were forced to flee or be killed . The scripture star & stripes forever quoted is dead on.

How did they ever think it a good idea to build a dam upstream of all the country’s population? Read detailed article on New Yorker, I think it was, earlier today, that paints a rather dire picture of the situation. Idiots built dam on gypson, which is now washing away. Might kill a million people when it collapses, which seems quite possible. Hope there are no US troops downstream when this happens.
I’ve heard all gates and valves are broken and frozen shut. Otherwise that’s exactly what would have been done by now. Also, Baghdad (and the US Embassy on the river) will be flooded with mud, sewage, bodies, etc. That just *might* finally close the place.
