JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Republicans are poised to use their newly attained capitol dominance to make Missouri the 27th right-to-work state prohibiting mandatory union fees. That is unless Kentucky's recently crowned GOP majorities can beat them to it.
The race to expand right-to-work laws is just one of several ways that Republicans, who strengthened their grip on power in the November elections, are preparing to reshape state laws affecting workplaces, classrooms, courtrooms and more during 2017.

When I was in Grade School in the Fifties, our classes were divided into fast learners and slow learners. How un-PC! Nobody complained! The slower learners got a bit more attention. It worked well!
Missouri, ignoring the collectives of the university and the two big cities, has been marching to the right.
Let us cheer them on.
School Choice is vital to improve education in America.
There are far too many students who because of poverty are confined to poor districts with dilapidated schools and ineffective teachers, while not far away there are modern schools with top grade teachers.
These students should be allowed to cross district lines and attend any school they want. If would bring real competition to our schools and students from all neighborhoods would benefit.

That is still the case. Most schools have regular classes, Pre AP classes and AP classes.

I was placed in an accelerated class for grades 5-6. It prepared me for an exam school which I attended for 7-8th grade.
When I transferred to a regular Junior High for 9th grade, the “slow learners” had their own classroom where they stayed all day getting personalized and intensive attention. Then they graduated with us and were mixed in alphabetically. It was the perfect environment for them, being somewhat “mainstreamed” but not exposed to bullying or being left in the dust by the other students.
This was how the Boston Public Schools operated back in the 1960’s.
Of course, it is NOT like that anymore.
President Trump and Congress should pass national right-to-work legislation. Nobody should be forced to pay union dues, regardless of the State.
Allowing unions to legally extort money from workers is criminal. How they still get away with it is beyond me.
Elections have consequences!

The teachers unions have been all for the foreign invasion of illegals because once their here they get to go to government schools for free. Job security!
They’ve been padding the bill by doing things like teaching 8 different dialects of Mexican Spanish and hiring 8 different Mexican Spanish teachers to do it.
The plan is to enslave us to the foreign invaders through government school taxation.

Absolutely. Every state should be a right to work state. They’re nothing but a money laundering vehicle for the Rats. Trump should do it with his pen and telephone.
They get away with it because Party A negotiates with Party B to pick the pocket of Party C, who has no say in the matter of his being robbed.
