LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A mistrial was declared in the corruption trial of ex-Sheriff Lee Baca after jurors said they were hopelessly deadlocked.
Baca, 74, was facing trial for conspiracy and obstruction of justice for allegedly interfering with an FBI investigation into civil rights abuses and corruption in the Los Angeles County jails.

I don’t understand this at all save for the possibility that the Obama Justice Department engaged in big-time overstretch with the charges, as happened in the Oregon standoff trial involving the Bundy family of Nevada. That is possible.

I think they are all out of jail right now awaiting the verdict on this one. If I understood they will use the excuse, he was our boss and got off, so we are not guilty.
