"Once upon a time in the 1960s, all the iconic news anchors, from Walter Cronkite to David Brinkley, were liberal."
We should keep in mind that a 1960's liberal was in many ways the kind of person detested by today's fake "liberals." I was on the fringes of the left back in the years 1968 - 1973, and the left detested traditional liberals maybe even more than they detested conservatives.
To be a liberal in 1965, you did not have to believe in easy abortion, gay marriage, transgenderism, global warming, illegal immigration, or one-world government, nor were you likely a fan of foul-mouthed music and trashy pop culture.
That all began to change with the McGovern campaign, and it has just gotten worse and worse. Up until about 1980, I still voted mostly Democrat.
Up until the 1980's, we'd still have Republicans on the Seattle City Council. Then, every leftist freak and fruitcake in the country seemed to move here, and ruined it.

"Everyone knows that the media spins everything pro-liberal, anti-conservative - they are like the King with no clothes and refuse to admit it."
What happened during the Trump campaign was that it become so bad that even non-political, neutral people could see it. And at times, it was embarrassing, as when the media started talking about Trump pulling pigtails and throwing rocks in the second grade.

Yet the thinning veneer of circumspection that had supposedly characterized the elite liberal successors to Cronkite and Brinkley was finally ripped off completely by a media meltdown over Trump.NO! The veneer was completely ripped off when Palin was chosen as VP. Most people were too blinded to see it.

There are several morons. The links are ignored, the stories are unread and yet the keyboard is engaged by these 5th grade sages responding to an AP title.
