Kerry Was So Bad At Negotiating In Syria, He Wasn’t Invited To The Latest Talks

Ambassadors from Russia, Iran and Turkey met in Moscow Tuesday to engage in negotiations regarding the ongoing crisis in Syria, intentionally excluding Secretary of State John Kerry.

No U.S. representative attended the talks, nor was the United Nations invited to attend. The lack of any Western representation is yet another sign that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, his Russian and Iranian allies will have their way in Syria, solidifying another failed attempt on Kerry’s part to seek a diplomatic solution to the problem.

The U.S. Department of State maintained a positive view of the negotiations, despite being left out of them.

It’s very clear by now that this always illegitimate government is finally irrelevant as well.

This bodes well - no enemy within -

It'll be a different story once our guy is in the WH -

Then, only the UN will be left out - my dreams are that he will, in time to come - kick the UN out of the US

What legitimate purpose was their to depose Asad? All the time I’ve been following world events all I know is that he and his father were a threat to Israel and to Syrians who would dare oppose him/them.

What legitimate purpose was their to depose Assad?

There was never any legitimate purpose. The whole thing was fabricated by the war merchants who have been in charge of U.S. foreign/military policy for the last 25 yeas. Their primary purpose is to profit handsomely from the sale of the U.S. military and intelligence assets to foreign interests.

For all intents and purposes, the U.S. military in the Middle East is nothing more than a mercenary force that has been deployed on behalf of these foreign interests. Once you understand this, then it's easy to see right through these stupid propaganda campaigns aimed at getting the American public to support these foreign military ventures.

Maybe if he promises to bring Yusef Islam aka Cat Stevens and Art Garfunkle for a duet they will be more receptive to the brilliant Viet Nam vet John Kerry.

Kerry being “bad” means evil - plus, with Trump’s election, the whole world can see that American Government support for the Saudi-supported Sunni jihadis will dry up.

In sum, Kerry and Obama LOST their proxy-war. Losers don’t get to decide post-war issues.

Kerry is the second-worst Secretary of State this country has ever had.

I saw the table that Iran, Russia and Syrian official were sitting at. There was no room for James Taylor.

Kerry’s previous attempts at negotiation in Syria were all abject failures. His meetings with his Russian counterpart earlier this month effectively handed the war-torn city of Aleppo over to Assad’s forces, which led to several civilian massacres. The White House congratulated Kerry’s “skilled, principled, tough, tenacious diplomacy” preemptively when asked about the deal which effectively handed over the most important battleground in Syria.

It's not just Kerry - it's the United States that's being rejected. Our ‘State Department’ is filled with corrupt incompetents who think ‘knowing the names of all foreign leaders’ is akin to wisdom. It's like the kid who never had two ideas to rub together but never misspelled a word ... of their drivel.

Kerry was always walking around the Iran talks saying Inshalah, meaning “Allah willing” but usually mis-translated in US press as “God willing”. I mean it is right there in the word: Allah! Muslims do not agree that Allah is the same deity as our God. In fact they say Allah is the one true God, there is no other God but allah, yada yada, blah blah

Also Kerry’s daughter married a Muslim (Iranian) so it is in his blood now.

The lack of any Western representation is yet another sign that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, his Russian and Iranian allies will have their way in Syria...

Check me if I'm wrong, but I believe the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is the legally recognized government of Syria. What he does in his own country is his business. It's up to him to decide who he wants to participate in "talks" to end the illegal insurrection against his regime. The "rebels," including ISIS, have not been internationally recognized and therefore have no standing under international law.

Let's put it this way: What if, in 1863, Great Britain and France had insisted that they participate in "talks" between the United States government and the rebellious southern states? I know there's a bunch of FReepers here who think that would have been a really good thing. but actually the governments of those countries had no legal standing to interfere in our internal struggle.
