...vomit whenever I hear the words “fossil fuel”...

Meaningless buzzwords disconnected from reality.  Methane (natural gas) cannot possibly be from a fossil if it's found on other planets.  There's no way oil be 'non-renewable' and solar not if they're both limited and they're both equally abundant.

It takes fossil fuel to generate the electricity necessary to drive a Tesla or a Volt.

“I wouldn’t export a thing to anyone until US fuel and energy prices are the lowest of all our competitors. Take half or all of the tax off of diesel, too, because trucks and trains use diesel and that higher tax passes through to everything individuals buy as well as making it more difficult for independents to compete as much as they used to.
Bleeding competition to death is what all this BS about fossil fuels is about anyway, a scam that benefits the big boys who buy Congress critters to do their bidding.”

You make good points for sure. I’m not sure though that even with significant reduction of taxes our oil will ever be cheaper to lift out of the ground than the Middle East producers. But, having said that I get your point. Cost of refining diesel vs gasoline is about half. The rest is taxes.

My understanding is that an executive order can be withdrawn in say, a hundred days but after that it’s law and takes an act of congress to undo. Not sure what the exact limit is.
Sounds like you are talking about the law of Medes and Persians (Daniel 6:8).

But in reality IMHO you are thinking about a regulatory agency edict. Congress can indeed overrule them by a simple majority vote in both chambers - without the president’s signature and without a cloture vote requiring 60 senators. If Congress acts swiftly.

“I find it hard to believe any President can issue an order that another President can’t undo.”

No doubt dozens of leftist advocacy groups will fight every Trump executive order reversing an Obama order in federal court. Obama has appointed 1/3 of the federal judiciary, with the aid of Republicans in the Senate, and these activist judges will delight in striking down Trump or at least tying him up in legal procedures.
