Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad joined Christian leaders and residents at an event last week to celebrate the first ever display of a traditional Nativity scene inside the state Capitol in Des Moines.
Five days later, members of the Freedom From Religion Foundation were on hand to install a secular display of their own — a metal cutout featuring the Founding Fathers and the Statue of Liberty gazing down at a manger holding the Bill of Rights.

Let um do it. It will remind the normal Americans that the free exercise of religion is also protected. This stuff about don’t offend anybody by not putting out an all-inclusive message is silly... and even Jesus was intended to bless the WHOLE WORLD. Even unbelievers see SOME blessing rub off, inasmuch as they don’t yet reject it all.
I have noticed this year that store checkout people are saying “Merry Christmas” with big smiles. I suspect their customers have been doing the same and they’ve noticed it’s fun. People seem less inclined to bow to political correct intimidation and more inclined to tell the Liberal scolds to go **** themselves.

Liberal in this sense is a lie anyhow. They’re illiberals. We are now going to see what actual liberal is. As in a generous, not crabbed spirit.
OMG same here, from Salvation Army Kettle person to Walmart Cashier all saying “MERRY CHRISTMAS”. It brings a smile to my face and I return by saying the same...MERRY CHRISTMAS. Not a bunch of Happy Holidays crap.
Atheists have a set of beliefs. The Federal Government has been promoting the Atheists set of beliefs over all other sets of beliefs.

The state religion is Atheism.
For better biblical accuracy I’d kind of like to see a second scene for the Wise Men. By that time the Holy Family was able to live in a house, and the manger had served its purpose.

They need to reexamine their Bill of Rights. There is no statement regarding “freedom FROM religion.”
Christmas Eve my daughter is going to be Mary for the play in Catholic Church. You can't get more nativity scene than that.

If the atheists don't have a holiday to celebrate this month (they don't) then what constitutes their "equal treatment" and what justifies their kludged together decoration in the capitol?
