McConnell: ‘I didn’t think President Trump had a chance of winning’ (interesting admissions)
McClatchy ^ | 20 Dec 16 | DAVID LIGHTMAN

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was surprised on election night: He didn’t see President-elect Donald Trump winning or the Senate staying in Republican hands.

“I honestly thought we wouldn’t hold the U.S. Senate,” the Kentucky Republican told Kentucky Educational Television’s ... “I thought we’d come up short, and I didn’t think President Trump had a chance of winning.”

The Senate victories were “really something,” McConnell said, “but it never occurred to me he (Trump) might be able to win as well.” ...

“It was a lot of feeling among just ordinary people...that the current administration didn’t care about them,” he said, “and Trump was able to convey, ...a message from a billionaire who lives in Manhattan a genuine concern (to those) who feel kind of left out.”

I don’t think the a$$ is where turtles’ heads go.

Hey Mitch, do us all a favor and climb aboard the Trump train and work with the man to get his agenda done.

I have to be honest, as I think most here are. Trump winning was a super long shot of epic proportions BUT IT WAS OUR PRAYERS THAT CARRIED THE DAY. I think God had a hand in this and Kellyanne might just well be his guardian angel. She played the media brilliantly and executed EVERY interview with calm and even smiling as she punched back. Kellyanne is the most impressive campaign strategist of all time.

Lead, follow or get out of the way.

Clearly, McConnell is incapable of leading. The only question is whether he is willing to follow or get out of the way. If not, then the primary voters in Kentucky will need to get him out of the way.

I think the big message to politicians is that you will fail if any of your election is based on deceiving people on who you are and what you plan on doing when you get into office.

“Not President-Elect??

I was listening to the radio news this morning and the story was how Donald Trump was in contact with Angela Merkel. No mention of 0bama. He is still president for another month. I think it’s fascinating.”

Fascinating indeed! Has this ever happened in history where there was such a vacuum of leadership during the transition period and such a huge Leader who essentially starts filling the vacuum? Not to my knowledge.

It’s that kind of belief that can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

He needs to go home, and stay there. He’ll be nothing but an impediment to the Trump administration.

REMINDER:

Trump’s win is only ONE HALF of why we won’t have a liberal Supreme Court for A LONG TIME.

Mitch McConnell is the other half, and frankly, his winning gamble of holding off the Obama nominee will prove one of the most profoundly influential choices of all history.

We dislike much of what he has done, but make no mistake about it. THIS reversed it all. He was under tremendous pressure to proceed with Obama’s nominee. He said no.

And won.

Just think how big a margin it would have been if you and the others had been 4 square behind Trump once he won the primaries.

That applies to EVERYONE on Fox News with the exception of Dobbs, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Regan, Waters, Varney to a degree, Guilfoil to a degree, O’Reilly to a degree.

The remainder were anti-Trump in thought, word, or deed 24/7/365.

What McConnel really did was preemptively surrender like the RINO swish that he is. If McConnel really believed in America and in its founding principles he would never countenance such defeatist thoughts. His actions reveal his true thinking and he needs to go. McConnel is a bought-and-paid-for, globalist puke

We need pix of him on his girly bike or maybe sharing a bong with Malaria. They need to dope up before going somewhere to eat with the Wookie so that their appetites can try to keep up with hers.
