Gun sales in Austria have “quadrupled” as citizens of that nation seek to secure means of self-defense in response to the “immigrant crisis” that has enveloped Europe.
Earlier in 2016, the crisis led Austria to “began limiting the number of asylum applications it would receive.” But gun sales began to skyrocket prior to this move being made.

Do the Austrians even know which end of the gun to hold? Seems like they have thing for inviting in trouble happily, and then feigning Victimhood.
Austria is fairly good by European standards — IIRC, the process is take a class, apply for the license, once you have it you can choose from a decent selection of firearms and use them for self-defense (can’t remember if Austrians are “allowed” to concealed carry). All in all, not too different from what us in Massachusetts have to go through. Is it freedom? No. But it’s not nearly as restricted as many European countries.
