The DNC sent their message.

Seth Rich’s parents know who had him killed. And Why.
In July Cankles thought she could stop the leaks.. she was wrong. This is right out of the Arkanicide playbook.

Oh, yeah, but it seems like it was done skillfully. No witnesses, no evidence...

I didn’t mean that she pulled the trigger with her own claw. I envision a “will no one rid me of this troublesome leaker” scenario.
Unlike Nixon, she has genuine criminals to call on.
Poor parents. This nurder was so atypical of regular street crime that I suspect that most of their son’s friends are avoiding them now. The girlfriend is probably telling as many people as she can that she and Seth never discussed his work and she barely new the guy.

Assange definitely spoke out against those who murder whistleblowers after Rich was killed. He clearly intimated Rich was getting truth out against the DNC, if a connection to Wikileaks or not. Which Seth’ girlfriend said — that he was intending to meet up with FBI agents to let them know what was going on.
Early July 2016 also Shawn Lucas reportedly serves the DNC with a class action fraud lawsuit and he apparently passed away on August 2nd
There was one similar “attack” on the streets of D.C. a few years ago. The actor Kal Penn, soon to leave his cushy west wing job in the White House after some sort of “falling out” with his affectionate boss Barry, was similarly attacked and nothing taken except his cell phone. Which may have had on it photos on it of Kal “working late nights with the boss.” At least Kal got to live. Which meant he lived long enough to reprise his role working in the WH again on Designated Survivor.

I believe that Seth Rich was a random act of murder for no other reason than he was killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Then why wasn't he robbed?
The very same reason.
Wrong place, wrong time.
