HILLARY Clinton's post-election holiday party has been compared to a "wake" by an attendee of the event.
The party, which provided an opportunity for Clinton to suck up to top-tier donors whose money was squandered on a disastrously failed election campaign, took place at New York's Plaza Hotel on Thursday.
Donors at the gathering included investment guru Alan Patricof and hedge fund manager Marc Lasry, who have a combined net worth of nearly £1.6billion ($2 billion).
Among the VIP guests were Clinton advisors John Podesta and Robby Mook, designers Vera Wang and Tony Burch. Clinton's ageing husband Bill and their daughter Chelsea were also seen.
But despite the glitzy guests, one person there likened the event to "group therapy".
They said: "It was like a wake with a band.
"It was a little bit of group therapy and a lot of love."
The guest said the event felt like closure after a crushing defeat to President-elect Donald Trump, who roared to victory in a historical election night last month – and that the team won't be reuniting any time soon.

Clinton should explain to her donors that she fell for the #fakenews and their #fakepolls which showed she was winning in a walk. That’s why she held only 54 rallies in the 100 days leading up to the election, while Trump had 129 rallies. Kaine barely registered in the campaign, holding even fewer rallies than Clinton, while Pence had about 100 rallies himself. Clinton spent most of her time fundraising among the Hollyweirds and Wall Streeters, and eating waffles with a handful of people from time to time. She is the queen of LOW ENERGY.
Did they serve food at the party? Pizza?
Most of those people should be on a watch list for life.
Hillary, your health care killary is not wanted here. Zer0’s zero care is about to be gone. People harmed by zerocare will be after barry with vigor. They may no go to the corrupt courts. They will probably go after zero and john roberts pesonally.
