Trump's Cabinet selections signal a bold shift after Obama

WASHINGTON (AP) — Propelled by populist energy, President-elect Donald Trump's candidacy broke long-standing conventions and his incoming Cabinet embodies a sharp turn from the outgoing Obama administration.

Trump, a Republican who pledged major changes after eight years of a Democratic White House, has assembled nominees for a Cabinet that includes many business executives who have never served in government, and military leaders are in line to oversee defense and homeland security. In one case, Trump has named someone who once called for dismantling the agency he'd lead.

A change of political parties at the White House almost always brings policy adjustments. But Trump's Cabinet expects to carry the outsider flair of his campaign, a role reversal compared with more conventional teams under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama that were heavy on former lawmakers, governors and veterans of past administrations.

A look at the expected shift in the federal government:

I see, it is OK for the Brown Bomber to come in and say he is going to substantially transform America and load up a cabinet chock full of reprobates, community organizers, racists, and officials picked for their diverse backgrounds rather than their knowledge.

I also do not recall Trump saying he was going to alter the government. I do recall him saying we need to reign in the bureaucracy and answer to the people rather than lobbyists and subsistence advocates.

The Dem MEDIA are all frustrated. They figured out that those cabinet selections are going to get rid of a bunch of departments. I hope education goes first.

It's not like they always existed.

after eight years of a Democratic White House

More importantly, Trump is coming into office after 28 years of liberal, treasonous potus infestations. Trump really isn't that far right. He's actually to the left of where I am, it's just that we've been exploited by the America hating globalist potus' of both parties for so long, Trump seems far right.

It could be an interesting four years.

Laura Ingraham said the other day that Obama and his staff never really got out of college. I agree.

How many of them have ties to the Communist Party USA, Marxist professors, or Saul Alinsky?

I guess Trump’s cabinet really is significantly different than the one under Ubummer.

Honestly, there are some children who could have done better these last 8 years.

3. It could be an interesting four years.

1. Americans have ONLY themselves to blame for Obamaism. He was voted in TWICE.

2. SO true. He's not a raving conservative. He's NORMAL. He only seems that way because of the EIGHT LONG years of the Democrats. Obama didn't do it all by his lonesome. He had the backing of the American voters.

3. Heck, President-elect Trump isn't even in the White House and I'm am AGOG with interest!

Optional point #4: Life is good.

Yep! Finally have a Cabinet composed of Americans rather than globalist raghead marxists...

Indeed. It’s going to be interesting see how President Trump’s trillion dollar infrastructure stimulus spending and universal child care plans mesh with his administration picks.

Trump has made a lot of good appointments, but with one outstanding turkey. His pick for Interior secretary is Congressman Ryan Zinke, R-Montana. Bad news for western states, since he is adamantly against returning federal lands to the states.

Why Trump’s pick for Interior wants land to stay federal
