In appointing David Friedman as the next ambassador to Israel, Donald Trump voiced a desire to strive for peace in the Middle East. Unfortunately, his chosen representative would be far more likely to provoke conflict in Israel and the occupied territories, heighten regional tensions and undermine American leadership.

I think the Slimes is a dangerous choice as a newspaper.
The NYT needs to evacuate even more floors in their building. Sell the whole building to Trump already.
Wait, I thought it was going to be Mike Huckabee.
Mr. Friedman seems to have the right enemies.
Another good pick by the PEOTUS.
Yeah,
Like I’m gonna believe the Old Grey Lady is looking out for the best interests of Israel.
Yeah, right.
If the Slimes has provided this kind of endorsement for David Friedman, he must be good.
Wow! The NY Times coming out against a decision made by Donald Trump?
Who saw that coming?
I’m sure they were as equally critical with Obama’s picks. Oh, wait...
Oh, you mean the "palestinian" garbage dumps?
"Peace" is something that happens only after you defeat and drive out the enemy.
Who cares what the NYSlimes says about anything?
Ha Ha. As if there is no conflict in the Mideast, and hasn't been for decades
If the Slime is opposed, it has confirmed that this is an excellent choice.
All these MSM pundits seem to think their opinion matters.
As of 11/8 at 9:30 PM they just don’t!
(Actually the didn’t matter since long before then but they were exposed as the bumbling partisan fools they are).
“Dangerous?” (NYT’s) ... must mean it is a perfect choice.
Face it. Some things are just not compatible. There can never be a true peace between Israel and Palestine. Both have strong emotional claims to the same land. If either made a fundamental concession to the other, it would in fact deny the basis and rational of its own existence. Real peace will only come to the area when one or the other ceases to be a definable political entity.
Good one!
If the NYT is harshing all over The Donald’s choice for ambassador to Israel, then it was ABSOLUTELY the most excellent appointment for that post.
NYT exists as a very good barometer for policy matters. Whatever their recommendations or objections, do the diametrically opposite action, and come out on the right side some 98% of the time.
Well, if the ‘nyt’ is agin it, it must be good. Winingness! Yeah baby.
The big danger is reading and believing a NYT article.
Journalism, your profession when life has screwed you in the mental department.
I know nothing about David Friedman, besides his great first name.
He has two very strong factors in his favor:
#1 Trump selected him.
#2 The maggot infected NY Slimes Jinos don’t like him.
Which means, David Friedman is another great choice by Trump!
