Heh, heh. Wasn’t Energy one of the Departments Perry vowed to abolish if he was elected President?
I don’t remember. Was that the 3rd one, the one he could not remember either?
I think so. One of the other candidates threw him a life line.
He can succeed Cruz after Cruz gets his POTUS assignment.
But his GOOD Friend Rudy, who NEVER stopped working for and believing i him when no one did, got a chance to save face and make believe he didn’t want any position.
I won’t bring this up again because I do not want to get booted, but even “Adviser” title would have been nice.
You can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his friends.
NO ONE on here believes Rudy said a month ago he didn’t want any positions.
He was meeting with people regarding SOS only 10 days ago!!
Alright, so he wasn’t a good fit for that (I think he was), but he was good enough to bring to Mexico with him and fight for him every night on TV.

Someone tell me something to rationalize this so I can go back to enjoying our great victory as much as I did before the announcement.
No nasty answers please. He’s a good man and was a great mayor. When bush and pataki were nowhere to be found, he spoke right away on 9/11, saying we WOULD persevere!!!

Maybe Rudy didn’t pass the vetting process

He’s a great advisor and spokesman which might be the peak of his capabilities right now

I think 9/11 and all of the fireman funerals and the prostate cancer took its toll.
But he seemed sharp on TV.
He is not bitter, which means they are on good terms.

Energy Secretary doesn’t have much say-so on immigration policy.
He was a lousy Governor who stayed years too long in office.
Gov. Rick Perry would be good in any post. I sort of hoped it might be to head up the veteran’s administration, but energy is fine!
He's a lightweight, if he wasn't from the important state of Texas he wouldn't be named as dog catcher...and besides that, who wants to be always looking at a guy with no eyes?

Rudy was with Trump at the Army/Navy game yesterday. They are still good friends from what Rudy says & actions appear to bear those words out. I suspect Trump is going to have a “kitchen cabinet” (a group of unofficial advisers to a political leader, esp when considered to be more influential than the official cabinet) & Rudy & Newt will be sitting around the table often. I personally don’t believe a cabinet post is the only way that Trump has to show appreciation for loyalty.
