Donald Trump is actually a fascist
Washington Post ^ | December 9, 2016 | Michael Kinsley

Donald Trump is a fascist.

When you call somebody a fascist, you can mean any number of things. Often, it means no more than “somebody I don’t like.” It is an all-purpose epithet, usable by anyone against everyone from university deans to Fox News anchors. For that reason, the label should be used sparingly — saved for special occasions. As with “Nazi” or “Hitler,” it is often said that in any discussion, the first person reduced to using such a word has lost the argument. It’s ridiculous to compare any living person to Hitler or Mussolini.

Or how he can blithely upset with a phone call the absurdly delicate balance of our relations with China and Taiwan

China is not going to dictate who the president of the United States can talk to on the phone.

China used to be afraid of pissing us off.

And then Obama bowed to them.

Economically, a fascist is a person who advocates for government control of the private means of production. Sorry, I just don’t see that in Trump.

#fakenews

Fascists offer themselves as a remedy for aggressive individualism, which they believed was the source of the defeat of Germany in World War I, and the decline of Italy, the failure of Italy. World War I, the perceived national decline, they blamed on individualism and their solution was to subject the individual to the interests of the community.

Trump, and the Republicans generally, and indeed a great swath of American society have celebrated individualism to the absolute total extreme. Trump’s idea and the Republican plan is to lift the burden of regulation from businesses.

There has NEVER been any "formal" CHINA RECOGNITION/China owning Taiwan, by the USA; NOT EVER!

This who thing is nuts, talked about and written about by uneducated, stupid, have their own agendas MORONS!

And calling Trump a Fascist, by libturds, only proves that they have no understanding of the meaning of that word/refuse to acknowledge the actual meaning of Fascism or Naziism, which though somewhat similar, are two distinctly different and separate things.

Somebody buy that boy a dictionary!

A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

Yeah, I noticed the author doesn’t seem to know what a fascist is.

So Obama giving $500 million to Solyndra and then kissing up to Iran are not examples of fascism.

Other than nationalism, I don’t see any aspect of fascism for an American leftist to oppose. They loved it back in the day, they should love it now...except they need to psychologically distance themselves from their fellow traveler Adolph.
