Donald Trump brushed away criticism after appointing a number of billionaires and millionaires to his administration by saying that he wants people that made a fortune!
The president-elect compared his picks, which have the accumulative wealth of around $14.5 billion, to athletes during a speech at his Thank You campaign rally on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
A newspaper criticized me and said, Why cant they have people of modest means?' He said to a crowd, Huffington Post reports. Because I want people that made a fortune! Because now they are negotiating [for] you, OK? Its no different than a great baseball player or a great golfer.
Trump has come under fire in recent days over putting too many members of the super-rich in top positions.

This is clearly the reasonable approach.
...and yet no one in the media had an issue with Hillary or Bill raking in millions for influence. Idiots.
“...’I Want People That Made a Fortune’...”
So do I.
It means they actually WORKED for a living; unlike the morons that the outgoing Hired Help put in place.

The End of an Error.
Dumb azz media. We don’t have Olympic trials to find mediocre athletes to send out to compete against the world, do we?
As opposed to “I want people who couldn’t manage their way out of a wet paper bag”, I guess.
“Trump has come under fire in recent days over [fill in the blank]”.
The “left”still doesn’t get it. Never will IMHO!
No one has ever gotten a job from a poor man nor has a war ever been fought and won by a private. LEFTIST love the poor and dumb but tend not to hire them nor pay them out of their own wallets. Other peoples wallets (taxes), now that is a different story, especially when it means VOTES!
hehehe....going to be a wild 4 years. trump isn’t going to be like bush was.
More importantly, they’re also harder to bribe, coerce or pressure into corrupt activities or leaking administration plans to the press.
e.g. people who understand the logo on John Galt’s cigarette.
They are better than community organizers or lawyers who plunder honest businesses with phony racism charges.
What do successful business people know about success?
Trump is picking winners. Like drafting an All Star Team. We are going to win
The critics are ignoring one basic fact. All of Trump’s appointees are successful in the real world.
Love it! Double down on the complainers! Don’t like billionaires? Tough.
Much better to name successful people than some community organizer who doesn’t own a home, a real job or two cents to rub together from hard work.
The bear is not dead, just afraid to move.
Trump figures anyone who doesn’t have a few hundred million in assets can’t have any gumption or they would have inherited a few hundred million like he did.
These people made money building things and investing.
How did the Clintons and Harry Reid make all their money?
