Yes one can get high without being an addict

Pot heads are a constant voluntary state as opposed to opiate and alcohol addicts who physically must have it or be sick

I didn't notice anything other than not being stoned

And stoned is a transition

At least for me

Smoke and get the initial giddiness and up feeling

Flatten out into sorta static low intensity less heightened awareness

Then food and sleepiness or wears off

If you don't smoke again that's it though medical folks claim pot chems in bed in fatty tissue a long time I did not feel high

I'd say within 48 hours it was like over nothing like not smoking for a year

But then if one wanted they could smoke all the time

Pot if you're accustomed is pretty easy to manage smoking a lot if if young and energetic and not overwhelmed with responsibilities

It's less debilitating than any drug I knew besides nicotine and caffeine

But if you're busy like I became you find less time for it

My wife drinks

Like most drinkers she hates pot even though she smoked when young

If she smoked id smoke late at night with her on weekends

Alcohol is much much stronger bait on the hook

And it gut hooks

Any daily weed smoker can quit without treatment or anything

A drunk or pillhead it's a whole nother ballgame

But I realize in blue states pot smokers suck

Can't change that

Not so in red states

Another observation: drunks tend to panic on good weed

It leaches back into the bloodstream so slowly it has no detectable effects. It's a non-issue.
