On Wikipedia (which tends lefty) there’s a whole conspiracy story about the Russkies and Donald Trump under their article for “fake news.” They believe that the Russkies sent out puff piece news about Donald, fooling the voters.
If Trump kills the funding the assembled Left and their media cronies will scream “COVERUP!”.
Just let them waste their time. There is no “there” there.

I’d say allow it to go on for another reason. It might turn up Democrat skulduggery, which Donald can use as a platform for stumping for election procedure reforms.

Actually, I thought the alt-left meme was that Trump won because of outrageously ridiculous anti-Clinton fake news being lapped up by ignorant conservative rubes the wame way Rottweiler yearlings would scarf down spilled chunks of meat; “news” like: “The Clinton Foundation secretly owns Comet Pizza, which is a gay Somalian spy ring for Russia and also George Soros’ Secret World Headquarters”.

i agree. after all, none of the public statement by the obammunists say anything other than:

“Confident” my ass! yeah, confident that people are too stupid to realize that statement means that obama has got jackshite in terms of actual evidence that the “russians did it”.
“consistent with methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts” is a FAR cry from saying they have evidence, ANY evidence at all, that the Russians did it.
so, i say, yeah, go ahead and “investigate” and “report”, because even if there’s a “there” there, obama will be riding off into the sunset on a broken down wagon load of revealed intelligence methods and capabilities, once again, compromising national security solely for personal and political gain.
He wants the report prior to leaving office. They might as well issue the report now since it has already been written by Obama’s political Commissars in the intel agencies.
You nailed it. This is about de-legitimizing Trump’s election. The Russians and fake news won the election for Trump, not Obama’s failed policies or Hillary’s lousy campaign.
