I listened to this today and it was also the first time I listened to the much touted Tucker Carlson.

I was not impressed.

Carlson showed a stunning lack of awareness of how the Electoral College is designed to function. He also seemed to be favoring true democracy over a representative republic.

What does this air-head think people vote for?

His attitude seems to be that the voter means nothing. So why does he think we go to all the trouble to vote?

Just for fun...?

He thinks his will and conviction stands above the will of the people, like he is part of the political elite. He seems to be unaware of the part of the Constitution that says “We the people”

Not so much. He was simply making the point, making this arrogant ass explain himself. Basically he asked 10 different ways why we bother to vote at all if the 535 feel zero obligation to follow election results.

As Tucker was saying, “You say you are taking a ‘moral stand’, but that implies others aren’t.” He squirmed out of it.

He’s studied up, but tries to play off that he is the only one really taking a stand to save the nation.

He says Trump isn’t qualified to be president.

I’ve never seen a guy more qualified.

This guy is knowledgeable air-head to the max.

It was not Tucker's finest moment as he did misrepresent the duties of an elector. I would have preferred he ask why this particular elector did not do the honorable thing and resign. After all, the state he supposedly represents gave Trump 59% of its vote, and Hilliary only 43%.

If he cannot in good conscience vote for Trump then the decent thing to do would be to resign instead of placing his will above that of his fellow Texans.

The faithless elector Tucker interviewed is being funded by a left wing group; it’s all over social media. He’s a plant.

Nope. Carlson simply expects the Electoral College to work as normal people expect it to work. And he was trying to tease out an explanation from his scoundrel guest as to why it should work some other way. Voters in a state elect a slate of electors who are expected to vote for the voters' candidate! That's how it is supposed to work. Faithless electors are a recipe for violence and revolution.

We should amend the Constitution to eliminate the electors. The vote should be by congressional district. One electoral vote per CD carried, plus two extra for carrying the majority of a state's CDs, or, in the event of a tie in CDs, the state's popular vote.

He also seemed to be favoring true democracy over a representative republic.

That's a moronic statement.

The P.O.S. neverTrumper should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on rails. Kasich...what a poor excuse for an elector that joker is.

I would bet that if you scratch the surface of this commie you will find that he is a flaming liberal.

I smell union involvement, likely the teachers union.

I love Tucker Carlson. Have admired him for years because he has a clear vision of the enemies of our Republic. Now, he has the power to call these people out and to have them explain themselves. Light and exposure is the best disinfectant. If someone like Jill Stein, for example, is trying to create havoc, we need to know a lot about her and why she is doing what she is doing. Sometimes we change our minds about the issue, but, most of the time when these lone wolves take action, it is for their own purposes and has nothing to do with a free and orderly society. Not all of our laws promote freedom. The voters voted their preference and that preference should be solid. The electors should not be able to go rogue after the voters have spoken.

What a clown. He’s not doing what he agreed to do and then he’s claiming it to be his moral choice? He’s a complete idiot. I hope people shut this clown out the rest of his life.

As a fellow Texan, I’m not sure exactly how these electoral college reps are selected. But, it’s my hope that whoever pulls the levers removes this guy and installs someone who will vote the will of Texans.

Individual Texans should step forward and sue this clown elector for disenfranchisement. Sue in small claims court. I think max is $5,000. That can really add up though as more people sue. Also, will keep him tied up in court for a long time.

Big mistake to treat this guy as a clown. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s an active participant in the movement to change the us to a direct democracy. The east coast/west coast elites are tired of losing to the fly over retards as they see us and are working hard to make the change.
