No tsumami warning was issued, but a massive 7.8 magnitude quake in the Solomon Islands followed soon after.
Social media users said they felt the California tremor in San Francisco, about 418.43 km south.

I hope the big one comes right after California secedes and brakes, then breaks into the northern nation of Jefferson, the central nation of California, and the southern nation of Juniper with the northern and southern nations being admitted as the 51st and 52nd states.
That way we can ignore all the loons from LA to SF and let them fend for themselves.
Maybe its a warning to California against secession.

Actually, the one to look at is the New Madre fault - that will probably cause more damage and loss of life.

Inland quakes don’t cause tsunamis. If there had been a tsunami in the bid San Francisco quake 1906 almost nobody would have survived.
