NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - It has been a year of finger pointing when it comes to New York City's homeless crisis. Critics have blamed Mayor Bill de Blasio for not doing enough. The mayor and the Department of Homeless Services have blamed the past.
But now it looks like the mayor is taking at least some of the blame. He appeared on the Brian Lehrer Show saying that he has to own everything: things that worked, things that didn't.
In recent months critics have attacked his administration for not having what they say is a clear-cut plan. Protestors marched at hotels-turned-shelters. De Blasio promised to lay out a solution soon. He stopped short of taking full responsibility, citing part of the problem on the city's previous regime.

Drug & Alcohol abuse.
Lack of mental health facilities (not warehouses).
Lax immigration policies.
Lack of political will to address the problem.
Yeah, that was fast. I’d figure that Dems would wait until Trump took office to start noticing that there are homeless people again.
The crazy leftist fascists and their media are getting ready to drag out the homeless on 1/20/2017! After ignoring them for the last 8 years and because of Obama administration’s poor jobs policies!
Yep - it is only when a republican is president that the issue of homelessness is discussed by the MSM.
Nope, there is no time limit for LEFTIST accusations, they just add names. So this is the fault of Reagan-Bush-Bush and soon to add Trump (RBBT) and the malady is RBBTDS!
