2 Georgia cops seriously injured in shooting near college

A manhunt was launched Wednesday morning for the shooter who seriously injured two Georgia police officers, an incident that triggered a lockdown at nearby Georgia Southwestern State College.

Minguell Kennedy Lembrick, 32, was named as the alleged shooter by a spokesperson for the Albany Police Department, WGXA reported.

One of the officers was from the Americus Police Department and the other was from Georgia Southwestern State University, Americus Police Chief Mark Scott told the Albany Herald.
