Angela Merkel has called for a burka ban after saying the 'full veil is not appropriate' in Germany, it has emerged.
In an astonishing U-turn, the German chancellor told her conservative CDU party conference that wearing the burka should be outlawed 'wherever that is legally possible'.
It comes after the 62-year-old stressed her determination to ensure there is no repeat of last year's huge migrant influx as she seeks a fourth term as chancellor.

Agreed. In her race to give away her own country I’m surprised she hasn’t previously imposed a mandate that all German women wear a burka. One of her advisers must have brought her some polling data.

As a woman, I am very sad to see other women controlled this way. I see this at my local Wal-Mart here in Massachusetts (yes, it sucks being around this many morons).
Pushing my grocery cart down one of the isles and seeing one and sometimes two women covered head to toe in the full slave-garb is frustrating. I want to just go to them and say, you know, you don’t have to live like this. This is the US and women are equal to men. But, I don’t. I just continue to push my cart down the isle.
