“I haven’t slept in my room since the election.” That is the exact headline of an op-ed recently published in The Washington Post by Ian Ware, a sophomore at the University of Virginia studying foreign affairs and American studies.
Ware writes he’s avoided his dorm and instead slept on couches, futons, floors and unoccupied beds in his friends’ homes.

This is more than pathetic. Is he concerned about all those people who had to leave their homes, and uproot their lives over the past 8 years because they lost their jobs? How ‘safe’ did they feel?

Forget this bonehead. What does it say about WaPo that this is worthy of its OpEd page? Think about it. They take a neurotic POV and give it national exposure. Every thinking person who reads such tripe knows the kid’s a doorknob-twerking-jerk. And even the liberals among them must wonder, considering how hard it is to get a sane opinion on the OpEd page, why is it the Post is turning itself into a doorknob, cheapening the page and the paper even further over such a snowflake?
