(Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump spoke by phone on Friday with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, the Trump transition team said in a statement.
"The two men discussed the grave terrorism threats facing both countries and pledged to work more closely together in order to meet these growing threats," the statement said.
Trump also spoke on Friday with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. "The two men discussed the long history of good economic, political, and security relations between the United States and Singapore," according to the statement.
“Hit the ground running”? When Trump is inaugurated he will leave skid marks. His wheels are already turning full speed.
And folks said he would be an international disaster.
He’s already done more for our good relations with other nations, than Obama did in eight years.
And Trump hasn’t bowed to anyone yet.
No wonder Obama doesn’t like him. Trump just refuses to bow. How could Obama respect a guy like that?
Trump sleeps 4 or 5 hours a day. He is a workaholic. Unlike the lazy slacker (by his own admission) Obama, Trump will work incredibly hard (because he wants to prove all his enemies wrong if nothing else!).
Obama was about Democrat dominance. Trump is a competitive businessman who plays to win. If anything, the irony of the Democrats is that 8 years ago they said people did not need extensive experience cell to be POTUS, now they backtrack and say the opposite.
That seems to be something they are cursed to do over and over.
Every four years they say exact opposites with a straight face.
Lets hope Melania is helping him unwind every so often... All work and no play, as the saying goes...
Well, they say “power is an aphrodisiac” so I’m thinking there won’t be any problems there.
