According to WEAU News 13, 592 veterans who received care at the Tomah VA in Wisconsin may have been infected with several types of disease due to violations of infection control procedures. In other words, they received the horrible level of care we have sadly come to expect from the VA.
During a press conference on Thursday, acting Medical Center Director Victoria Brahm said a dentist at the VA was using his own equipment
which should actually be illegal. But we digress.
How did the dentist transfer the HIV to her? I understand that once in her mouth, her open gums could allow the spread. But did he sweat into her mouth? Spit in? How did his body fluids get in?
As I said, I’m not a Veteran, so i am not familiar with VA benefits, so yes, I need to be enlightened.
But from your response, it seems you are quite happy with Government supplied health-care. So it seems, aside from a few outlier problems like the case indicated headline, the Government CAN effectively run a very large health-care system.
I was surprised that the politically correct CDC allowed the information to be made public (i.e. pointing to the near-certainty that the dentist infected Kimberly).
Few dared to question whether the dentist infected her (and several other patients) on purpose. But I don't believe that possibility was ever ruled out.
