Progressives used a brutal knife attack at Ohio State University (OSU) on Monday as an excuse to demand more gun control, even after authorities declared that they had no evidence the attacker even used a gun during his rampage.
The attacker reportedly struck pedestrians with his vehicle and proceeded to stab several others, harming at least nine individuals, one of whom is in critical condition. Despite OSU’s initial tweets stating there was an active shooter on campus, authorities later said there was no evidence that the attacker used a gun during his attack. The victims are being treated for stab wounds and injuries sustained from being struck by the attacker’s vehicle.

Early live reports were of gun fire.
Local media reported a perp with gun, later with knife.
Call-in witness later in the morning said he saw the perp plow through a crowd, injuring several. He also saw perp get out of the car and attack people with a large knife. He said that perp had no gun.
Local media reported SWAT and police searching for a possible 2nd perp, as the initial perp has been shot dead early on.
Local media later reported that there was only 1 perp, police arrived with a minute or two of the first alarms [fire alarms inside building were pulled] and 911 calls. Police shot the knife-wielding perp within a minute or two of their arrival. That was the gun fire that led the media to jump on the anti-gun narrative early on.
